Seminar 1 (Introduction)
This session with rob is all about support for the theory work we have to hand in based on our theory lectures given by spencer and peter. These sessions are seminars to work more closely and driving the work forward to be able to produce the best work with help from tutors
There are two things that will come out of the theory module...
Contextual portfolio (same as last year)
This year I will keep up to date with each lecture and when I do I will research and focus on something touched on in the lecture to give me a greater understanding and more knowledge of the subject.

A Essay 2,500 words –equivalent 5,000 words as a visual appendix that’s a response to the essay is also involved
a visual appendix is a graphic response to the essay so a piece of art work that will go along side the essay to back up the argument made.

Will be introduced to key theories and practitioners and some will have some real impact on your studio and production work you will gel with them and take forward into studio and theory. Expanding on the things you learn in lectures will help you gain understanding but also the extra work will be appreciated.

Participation links to being part of conversion- linking to studio work, I'm aware that although some of the theory we learn may not seem linked somewhere it is therefore i am going to look into how they link with my practice every time we are introduced to a new theory, this will help me when writing my essay later on in the year.

Write a paragraph of text, which provides an overview of Eco’s theory in no more than 125 words (don’t quote)
