This Paper Craft Enemy Animations called 'The Beetle' by Zach Spurlock. This is an enemy in a game called "Paper Craft", where everything in the game is made from paper. Spurlock did the rigging and animations, while Zack Aller did the modeling and texturing.
This animation caught my eye because you can tell its paper crafted, hand made before hand there’s no CGI just animated craft. i want a style for my animation that as soon as you look at it you know that it has an authentic craft hand made feel. it has to reflect the book I'm making. This animation also caught my eye because f its simplicity, the animal doesn't so much however because you know someone had modeled it its quite fascinating to watch the fly move its subtle movements, when I watched it I spent the time wondering how they could have done that and I find the whole animation brilliant. Its so cleaver and personal to there style and I want to establish my own style.
This animation I found is one of my favourite, I love the patchwork effect on the title, it shows the craft and handmade value of the moulding of dough to make this stop motion animation. I also like how the colour scheme is the same throughout. They represent the name of the festival 'swerve' in the way the video is animated, nothing is made in stiff straight lines, it all flows through to the end and back to the start screen. I like the loop back and I want to do this in my animation, start by asking what your future looks like and end with another question in the same style and scheme.
