client side- you and who you are delivering to

employee side- contract between you and your staff (includes freelancers)

duty of contract

- supply what the client asks for

- prbblems- what does the client ask for

- ensure parameters are put in place

duty of care

- broader aspect- to look after cleint and his concerns

- know what your cleints bussiness is- ensure you know what you are doing and what other people are supposed to be doing

- broader understanding of economic enviroment

remember a company is a 'person in law'

employee side

-there is a lot of employement legislation (industry dependent)

-the aim is to protrect employees from unfair actions and practices

duty of care- to look after a employee

-mental and physical care- have to be fair and make sure people are treated right, problems appear when employes think they are being unfairly treated, most people know when they are and when there not

-safe working enviroment- dependent on work place

-proceedures to resolve issues- every company will have a proceedure

-clear job understanding - exteded jobs not in description, but most contacts now explain you are to do anything for the compant at that time
