“I’m starting to forget what my brain used to think about, I have being re wired, and I don’t think I’m alone”.

Slogans for the 21st century
Douglas Coupland
This is an ongoing body of statements Coupland has been working on, in which he has made a consistent effort to “Try and isolate what is already different in the twenty-first century mind as opposed to the twentieth.”
“If you were to attach a stick to each of these slogans and carry them in the street, would they read as protest or would they read as complicit guilt?

The Lovers Detail
Douglas Coupland
Douglas coupland, now a writer, was a former graphic designer, however he has recently started to explore the desigworld again, after commenting on the ‘rewired brain’ and the digital age, he currated a series of dots.
at first galnce the dots look normal and the un organised dots dont look like anything much, but looked at through a device, you can see an image on someone jumping off the world trade center. the point of this is to show what we can see through the world of a lense.
the idea of the digital age and how we think differently now is shown here, ere so immersed in technology that we can only see an image fo somehting through it, its the only thing that can hold our attention.
